The Operations Coordinator will play a central role in supporting the build-out of Gummi World's new facility, working alongside leadership to help stand up operations from the ground up. This is a hands-on, floor-facing position for someone who understands how a manufacturing environment works, thinks in solutions rather than problems, and is comfortable operating in a fast-moving, still-developing environment where processes and priorities are being built in real time. The ideal candidate is proactive, assertive when needed, and takes ownership of getting things done.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the planning and execution of the new facility build-out, coordinating timelines, vendors, and on-the-ground logistics as spaces and lines come online.
Act as a hands-on presence on-site — tracking progress against the build-out plan, identifying gaps or delays, and driving issues to resolution.
Help stand up day-to-day operational workflows for the new facility, including layout, staffing needs, equipment setup, and material flow.
Partner with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to ensure the new facility is equipped, organized, and ready to operate smoothly.
Coordinate the receipt, setup, and inventory of new equipment, fixtures, and materials arriving at the facility.
Track and report on build-out milestones and key operational metrics, flagging risks early and recommending solutions.
Help coordinate scheduling of labor, equipment, and materials to meet build-out and early production timelines.
Assist in developing and documenting standard operating procedures (SOPs) as new processes are established.
Serve as a point of contact for day-to-day operational questions during the build-out, using sound judgment to solve problems independently before escalating.
Support onboarding of new facility staff on workflows, equipment, and floor expectations.
Bring an assertive, solutions-first approach to obstacles that arise during the build-out — addressing issues directly and keeping momentum going.
QUALIFICATIONS
3–5 years of experience in operations, production coordination, or a related role within a manufacturing environment.
Solid working knowledge of manufacturing operations — production flow, facility layout, and shop-floor dynamics.
Experience supporting a facility launch, expansion, or build-out is a strong plus.
Demonstrated ability to identify problems and drive practical, timely solutions with minimal oversight.
Proactive and self-directed, with the assertiveness to raise issues, hold vendors and partners accountable, and keep initiatives on track.
Comfortable operating in an ambiguous, still-developing environment where priorities shift as the facility comes together.
Strong organizational and time-management skills; able to juggle multiple workstreams simultaneously.
Clear written and verbal communication skills, including comfort presenting updates to leadership.
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in business, operations, or a related field preferred.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Regular presence on-site at the new facility during construction/build-out and ongoing production once operational (PPE required as applicable).
Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods during a shift.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
Split time between on-site facility work and office/administrative tasks (reporting, email, scheduling).
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
The new facility build-out stays on track, with risks and delays caught and addressed early.
Operational workflows, equipment, and staffing are ready and organized as the facility comes online.
Cross-functional partners see this role as a reliable, solutions-oriented point of contact throughout the build-out.
The transition from build-out to full operations happens with minimal disruption.
